In a recent interview with Team-Dignitas.net, Kalle "Trixi" Saarinen comments on his time in DotA, Heroes of Newerth and Dota 2.
Trixi, hard-carry of Mousesports, is very much associated with Fnatic since the side's reign in Heroes of Newerth. Winning the $40,000 SteelSeries GosuGamers World Cup and three DreamHack championships, Trixi and the other four were the constant team to beat in the world of Newerth.
Moving from HoN to Dota 2: "Quite easy"
As many others, Trixi transitioned to Dota 2 when the beta opened its gates. In the interview, Trixi comments on the switch.
- "The transition was quite easy. Somehow I felt the game was more HoN-like, at least by the looks of it. The feel of the game was a bit different though but it was nothing that I couldn't get used to," says Trixi. He added, "Another thing that most people forget that I played Dota for a long time in a decent level, so I am not a pure HoN player."
Tournament version to match current: "I love it"
When asked what he feels about how the tournament version of the game to match the current version, Trixi had nothing but superlatives to say about it.
- "I love it. I'm one of those guys who like to see things changed immediately instead of waiting for a couple of months before change happens. The sooner the tournament version adapts to the latest version the better at least in my opinion," says Trixi.
- "Of course there has to be a small break in between, but delaying it for a long time is quite stupid. Especially while we're in Beta."
Trixi and his team could be seen yesterday losing to Darer in group A of the EvoSport Pro League.
