Strelok qualifies for IEM New York

The Ukrainian terran is the first to earn a spot at IEM New York which is to be held mid-October. Strelok went through Brat_Ok, Socke and Virus and, finally, defeated Phoenix 2-0 to secure his place.

This is the second time Strelok has qualified for IEM this season after he won a spot for Guangzhou as well. Three more Europeans will join Strelok this Sunday, as the second qualifier is completed.

Prior to the qualifier itself, Lucifron and Sjow - them being the other two finalists at the first qualifier - will meet each other to see who get the second spot at IEM New York. Their match had been delayed due to technical issues so they will battle on Sunday before the tournament begins so that the loser can sign up for a second chance. After all preliminaries are completed we will have a line-up of 8 American, 4 European and 4 Asian players battling for a prize pool of $21,000.
