And an astonishing series it was, starting off with a 40-minute long non-stop ZvT action on Shakuras Plateau. DRG got an early advantage by clearing a terran army at his opponent's third but Bomber's confidence could not be easily overthrown as he get more and more bases, turtling and defending DRG's aggression to his best. The game soon grew to a mind shattering epic level - DRG heavily upgraded tier 3 army marched towards the center of Shakuras which Bomber had fortified with planetaries and lots of ghost, ready to cast nukes and snipe the brood lords. After tense seconds of carnage, DRG was forced to retreat and the dissings from Bomber began pouring down. Manner mules and multiple scans were cast to throw DRG off and for the grand finale, Bomber started launching nukes all-over. Zerg's bases fell one by one and as the last one exploded amidst nuclear fire, DRG had to tap out.
Set 2 on Metalopolis was much shorter. DongRaeGu defended the early hellion aggression and later sneaked some lings into Bomber's main but the terran was already on the march, hitting a cozy (and deadly) timing window before DRG could get any significant numbers of mutas and banelings. Despite the massive lag and the uncomfortable position, DRG almost pulled off a miracle defense but the last few remaining marines proved to be too much to hands - a second GG was typed, Bomber would advance to the upper bracket final.
