NaNiwa stays in Code A despite first round exit

GosuGamers previously reported how Jeffrey "SjoW" Brusi was joining his team mate in Korea, and that there was a chance that two Dignitas players would play in Code A.

We wrote that because of Johan "NaNiwa" Lucchesi losing in the first round in GSL August, he would have to re-enter the preliminaries. This proved to be wrong, however, as the GSL/MLG exchange program allows NaNiwa to have another spot for Code A due to his performance at Anaheim. This was confirmed by Erik "DoA" Lonnqvist on TeamLiquid earlier today.

NaNiwa also voiced his opinion on the critique over the system being unfair.

- "Well I am very sorry for coming top3 foreigner at MLG everytime. That is indeed very unfair towards some of the Koreans in Code B who are extremly good," says Lucchesi. He added, "But thats just the way it is right now. Why should I not use every method available to try to get into Code S."

- "It is true right now that my play has been broken down since I came to Korea which will result in me losing a few more games in the start, but once I stabilize and get used to their style I am sure i will become a much better player," says NaNiwa.
