oGsMC is the first grand finalist at Gamescom. Base trades, blink micro and perfect timings were all on Korean's side on his way to the 3-0 victory against Mana.
- "I predict 3-0, he is just another protoss", said MC just prior to the game with Mana, who did not want to make any predictions at all. Soon, the Korean had to stand behind those words.
As a base trade got under way after simultaneous attacks from both players, a new PvP mode was just discovered - Pylon defense! Mana and MC thrashed each other's bases and by the end the Mouz player had but a single pylon which he guarded with dear life. MC too had one pylon and, to irony's delight, 395 minerals, just a snitch away from a fresh nexus. MC hesitated for a long time before deciding to sacrifice his blink army into Mana's Colossus ball. At the end it was all worth it, however, as MC sniped the pylon in two hits and went ahead 1-0.
On Shattered temple, Mana attempted a neat warp prism harass but to his disappointment, MC always seemed to have warp-ins in time to prevent any damage. Back home, the Polish protoss was stacking up a huge army of Immortals and Archons but that meant nothing as MC's massive blinkers arrived at Mana's natural. Mana found himself with terrible positioning, his archons stuck behind the stalkers and shoved into a corner. The amazing arc for MC was more than enough to force out a GG.
In the final game, Mana started building towards a big colossus ball but once again MC did not allow him to live long enough. A surgical blink stalker timing hit Mana hard, not allowing him to develop the late-game army composition he was aiming for. MC would advance with a flawless 3-0.
- "Foreigners should come to Korea and pay me so I can give them a lesson", commented MC jokingly when asked what foreigners should to if they want to reach the skill level of Koreans.
MC's opponent will come out of the winner between Puma and Socke, the two playing right this now.
