The group stage is over and so is the day of reckoning for four of the player at IEM Cologne. Upsets are brewing in Germany and the excitement will only grow as the play-offs get closer.

Group C shocked many people and how could it not. HuK came as a Korean trainee and was considered by many a top 4 finisher for sure. But the newest EG recruit faced a dire fate, winning only a single map and ending with the disastrous 1-6 in sets. The top spots were instead taken by Nerchio, who secured a perfect 6-0 run, and Moonglade, who showed that even without a team to back him up, he can still put up an excellent performance.

Another, although smaller, upset came at the end of group D. A match before its completion it was clear that NASL champion Puma and Assembly grand finalist Mana would be the one to proceed further but it was yet to be determined who would take the top spot. In a flashy closing match for the day, the Polish hero dominated over the Korean beast with extreme ease to finish with a 6-1 overall score.
