GSTL S4 Venus Week 5: ST vs HoSeo

In an unexpected move StarTale fields a restless ex-SC:BW progamer Qoo)Max, also known as Superstar. It still remains a puzzle which race he will play - a zerg in Brood War he went random in SC2, switched to zerg for GSL, had mediocre success to the degree of being known as a violent proponent of 6 pooling on ladder and then switched back to random before completely disappearing off the radar. His last official game was held as far back as January, and his last(and only) online appearance was recorded in April. But the recipe is there, a silver medalist of G-Voice OnGameNet Challenge League, a relatively decent progaming career that span over 7 years(and ended with a loss to TossGirl), coaching experience with estro. This is the guy that knows how to get himself in shape and how to do it quick. Had he chose to stick with zerg he will also have July by his side to sharpen him up.

His opponent is Tassadar, is a Code A runner up, and that says it all. He is a solid master of all match ups and don't let these stats deceive you- his PvT wins include amongst others victories against Ryung and NASL champion who dismantled MC in the finals- PuMa. His PvZ wins are as spectacular as stats suggest it to be - they include Leenock, Revival and the newly crowned zvp beast Curious(i've written about him yesterday in the FXO vs IM coverage)

So in a nutshell that is then akin to MC vs Hannibal match up we say yesterday in the Day 1 of Week 5 matches. A beastly protoss taking on an less then stellar... something. Except that Superstar remains a total dark horse, and who knows, maybe with all the practice he had the chance to get he might even turn that amazing skills that Hannibal brought to the table and turn them into more - a victory.

It is also worth of note that this is HoSeo's First season in GSTL(team was created on January 26th). While it may sound like they are in trouble keep in mind that their roster includes Jjakji- a most promising player according to the GSL casting duo of Tastless and Artosis(although we do have to consider the Clide curse) who recently won ICCup/Nationvoice weekly Monthly final taking out Yonghwa in the finals as well as Startale's Curious on the way ther(3-0 no less). And FreeDSL who placed 4th at that tournament as well as Top 4 in Top 4, LG Cinema 3D SC2 Special League. Oh and did i mention they won their first two matches by 4-1 all kills?
