Jinro and Boxer close Code A Ro32

A flashy end of Code A Ro32 indeed. The two-times Top 4 Code S player Jinro would play just prior to The Emperor himself, Boxer. Both players had a lot to prove and a huge reputations to defend.

South Korea Hyperdub vs South Korea Happy

Crossfire: Hyperdub opened with an early bio aggression, throwing a hidden gold expo behind it but both endeavours went bad for him as a banshee from Happy stopped the rush and his hellions later found the second base and chased it away. Things turned really sour for Hyperdub as he attempted a big drop play, unloading his units straight under banshee and tank fire. All Happy had to do was slowly push down and win.
Terminus: Happy's control of the four watch towers was his key to success in the second set, spotting every one of Hyperdub's moves, including the blue flame hellion drop which was his chance to get back after the unsuccessful banshee harass in the early game. Later, Happy would launch a blue flame hellion attack, greatly reducing the SCVs at Hyperdub's natural and winning the game later due to his strong economy advantage.

South Korea Curious vs South Korea YuGiOh

Terminus: The two zergs opened with baneling vs baneling battles and stayed on that for a while until by the 10-minute mark YuGiOh transitioned into roaches while Curious spined his natural and teched to spire. Curious used the mutas to gain map control, outexpand YuGiOh and harass his mineral lines until the SlayerS player began starving for resources. YGO tried to make something happen with his hydra/roach army but Curious' macro capabilities were too much to handle.
Tal'Darim Altar: YuGiOh's 1-base baneling play reduced Curious' drone count to 9 and he went for roach warren immediately after before Curious would get a chance to revive his economy. Curious' tight sim city defense managed to keep him safe for a while and even get ahead in drones but a grave mismicro mistake sent the majority of his banelings into a clump of roaches, wasting a ton of gas and losing the game to the counter push.
Belshir Beach: After the mandatory baneling openings, Curious chose to go for a fast 1-base spire while YGO transitioned into roach/hydra off of two hatches. But YGO would not allow Curious to optimize his muta force as in game one and after two timing attacks the ST player was dead, even despite his impressive wall of spine crawlers.

Sweden Jinro vs South Korea ShinyStar

Terminus: Shinystar tried to break Jinro early with a 2-base sentry rush but as he could not move any further due to Jinro's ghosts, the protoss had to fall back and transition into chargelots and blink. Both players were neck and neck almost the whole time until Jinro got a game-breaking advantage, EMP-ing all of Star's templars and winning the decisive engagement.
Metalopolis: Jinro destroyed Star's fast expo with a nicely timed bio/bunker aggression. In the mid-game, Jinro used medivacs and stimmed bio to maneuver around protoss' army and deny him both economy and tech and thus overwhelming him by the 20th minute. Jinro would keep his spot in Code A.

South Korea Boxer vs South Korea asd

Tal'Darim Altar: Asd chose marine/marauder as his main composition, contrasting Boxer's pure mech. The mobility of asd's army gave him an upper hand as he constantly moved around, pressuring Boxer's positions while at the same time sprinting forward in upgrades. The Emperor soon found out that he could not efficiently battle with his upgrades being so behind and after a grand battle in the center, Boxer lost this 35-minute long TvT.
Metalopolis: Asd gained a huge advantage when he ran around with his bio army and denied Boxer's third. The Emperor chose to do an immediate counter attack but faced a blazing tank fire that set him 50 supply behind. Asd followed this win by outexpanding and outupgrading The Emperor once again to eliminate him from GSL.
