A Week Left to Register for the NASL Open

Only a week left until the North American Starleague Open is under way. Almost a hundred players have already registered for the tournament. The players will be playing for that 16th and final spot in the NASL Grand Finals.

The NASL Open begins on June 20th 2011 and is a single elimination bracket tournament where the top two will get tickets to the NASL Grand Finals. First place will get the 16th and final spot in the Grand Finals, but second place will also get a flight to the Grand Finals as a possible replacement player. The Grand Finals will take place from July 8-10 in Ontario, California. Both finalists from the Open will also qualify for Season 2 of the NASL.

Registration for the tournament is open to anyone with a US server account and it will also cost $10 to register (paid through paypal). The tournament will have a maximum of 1024 players with random seeding. Each round will be best of three with a best of five finals. The NASL Open will last a possible seven days with each round of the tournament being taking up one day. The Open is set to end on June 26th 2011.
