After a week's break due to the MLG 2011 Pro Circuit stop in Columbus, GosuGamers very own Razer StarCraft 2 GosuCup returns. Today's broadcast gives you the Group A and Group B matches.
Group A
Quantic|DarkCell vs. SixjaxTerran
"DarkCell" took the the spot to reach the group stage after "HuK"'s dropout. In the first round of the group stage he came out with a very convincing win over the Swedish Terran player "Mover". He is now placed against another fearsome Terran. It is the man of many names, "Terran" or "Major" as he was playing under at MLG. The two will battle for direct qualification to the playoffs as they both come from the winners side of Group A.
Empire.Beastyqt vs. Epsilon.Mover
The second match of today is between "Beastyqt" and "Mover", who both suffered defeat in the first round. While Beastyqt have already taken a punch against a fellow Terran player "Terran", "Mover" now enters the tournament after a heavy beating against "DarkCell". The two Terrans will go at it for survival in this tournament. The winner will get to face off against the loser of the winners bracket match for a spot in the playoffs. The loser of this match is eliminated out of this season's GosuCup.
Group B
Empire.Nerchio vs. Mill.Adelscott
Group B starts off with Polish Zerg "Nerchio" who disposed "merz" in the first round. His opponent, "Adelscott" have yet to show himself in the group stage, after receiving a win by forfeit due to "TriMaster"'s no show in the first round. The two faced off against each other two months ago, in the Seenheiser Cup #9 semi finals in which Nerchio pulled the longest straw. The Frenchman is surely after revenge, and eager to prove himself in the Razer GosuCup.
Dignitas.Merz vs. TriMaster
We then close off the day with the first round losers of Group B. "Merz" who had a hard time against "Nerchio" in the first round, will go against Terran player "TriMaster" in the survival match. It remains to see if the Dignitas player has polished his Terran mirror. With his team full of top notch Terrans, he most likely come prepared after some top notch training.
