First set was on Testbug and MMA opened with bunker rush into banshees but both got deflected with relative ease, although Idra did lose some queens. But the most entertaining part of the game came when MMA tried to take a third at the gold and... killed his own CC from the splash of his tanks that started taking down the rocks. Many thought the game was over at that point and that feeling became stronger as Idra's huge muta numbers stormed the terran lines. But then, for no apparent reason, Idra left the game. The replay showed that there was a drop happening at Idra's natural but it would appear that it would not do a lethal damage so Idra's decision to GG out was strange to say the least.
The second game on Metalopolis was way quicker. Idra deflected bunker rush by killing all the initial marines but the follow-up attack ended the set by sniping the crucial, and still in construction, spine crawler.
In the post game interview, MMA commented that he expected a Korean finals in the winners bracket, as he will now face Losira. He also commented that he will play an entertaining series against the IM Zerg to contrast with his games against Idra.
