Late night ZvZs

Two Zerg mirrors got on the way at MLG Columbus as Moon went against Slush and Losira faced Machine.

Losira secured a first place in Pool D with a 4-0 score after beating Machine without dropping a set in his second ZvZ in Columbus. Losira's baneling builds were apparently too tough for Machine to stop and he lost two consecutive sets once on Tal'Darim Altar and later on Shakuras Plateau. The Korean invite remains to play only the underdog of the event sixjaxMajor, the latter currently tied for second with Haypro, both with 2-2 scores.

The second ZvZ was between Moon and Slush in pool A. Slush's low-econ Roach aggression on Metalopolis paid off as he managed to sneak some forces around Moon's spines and kills his warren and spawning pool to later overrun the Korean with lings.
The second set on Shakuras Plateau, however, was a thousand times more exciting and after failing his quick pool aggression, Moon decided to approach the game as a ZvT, going for muta tech with baneling mines. The latter actually caught the first Roach/Hydra push from Slush, leaving a huge puddle of green goo. Moon took the liberty to double expand but that actually was a bad idea as when Slush's second push arrived at Moon's natural there were not enough forces to stop it.

Two more games remain to be streamed for tonight: July vs MMA (Pool B) and Idra vs Thorzain (Pool C).
