The first tournament of the recently launched ES-Area League hits the home stretch with Na`Vi going up against PowerRangers in a best of three series.
Together with the Russian attenders ThePuck and ToM, both teams advanced from a groupstage and continued their fight in a playoff bracket.
The event split twelve invited teams from Eastern Europe into two groups. Within these divisions all participants faced each other one time in a best of two format from mid March until now.
The list of attenders starred many profilic names in the beginning, though not all of them decided to complete the groupstage . The Retry and sharks only played three out of five matches, DTS/M5 quit after two and cleared the stage for others to shine.
Todays final features the acclaimed Ukrainians from Na`Vi and the Belarusian team PowerRanges who made a name for themselves at the ASUS Winter LAN after reaching the final out of nowhere.
The monetary prizes for the tournament got increased from $400 to $1000, from which the champion will take $700 alone. The remaining $300 go the runner up.
The match will be broadcasted at the Electronic Sport Area own3d channel by Versuta. A lot is at stake for both teams, so don't forget to tune in.
