After eight months of playing in the StarCraft Mecca of the world, HayprO has decided to move back to Sweden to pursue competitions outside of South Korea. "Being in Europe puts me in a better position to play these large international tournaments," writes HayprO in regards to the competitions outside of Korea. HayprO was limited mainly to the GSL competition within Korea, where he reached Code A in February. He has not made it back into the GSL ever since.
For now, only two Liquid players remain in Korea, HuK in Code S and Jinro recently demoted to Code A. Interestingly enough, as one Swede flies back another will be flying to Korea as SaSe will be joining the GOMTV foreigner house very soon.
"I'm expecting this move will make it easier for me to win online tourneys, as well as attend monthly offline tournaments in Europe."
Although he enjoyed his stay in Korea and has improved a lot, HayprO believes that, "when it comes to tournaments there are better options out there. " It is far more lucrative for a non-Korean player to play outside of Korea if they are not within the Code S ranks. Money prizes in tournaments around the globe are much easier to qualify for than the GSL qualifiers which happen every two months. For now, only two Liquid players remain in Korea, HuK in Code S and Jinro recently demoted to Code A. Interestingly enough, as one Swede flies back another will be flying to Korea as SaSe will be joining the GOMTV foreigner house very soon.
