18:00 CET: GGnet versus M5.Garaj in ROCCAT DotA GosuCup Grand Finals

GosuGamers' very own DotA tournament has hit its final week. Playing today at 18:00 CET will be Team GosuGamers and M5.Garaj to determine who takes first place as Europe's best team.

Team GosuGamers
The collective now known as GGnet, formerly NWO, were slated to be a seeded team months before the tournament was even announced, when the ROCCAT GosuCup was still early on in its conceptual stages. When the tournament began, NWO were newly-minted as GGnet, and our new boys immediately hit the ground running. While they suffered a minor hitch in their first series against the overachieving Greek team EnDs -- losing a game they had in fact won rather heroically, due to a careless infraction of the rules -- they cruised through the rest of the tournament with seeming ease, suffering their only real defeat the first game of the semi-finals against the eventual bronze medal winners Browned Potatoes. For GosuGamers, it feels as though the guys have been with us for ages, and we can hardly remember when we weren't desperately cheering for, and wildly celebrating, the great competitive victories of Puppey, Pajkatt, Miracle, Azen and KuroKy. Indeed, we also hardly remember a time when we weren't quietly lamenting the "Disband" and "Y U NO PICK PROPERLY" memes spread across our boards and comments sections. As the ROCCAT GosuCup draws to a close, GGnet have already claimed first place in Pick League XIV and second in the Intel Challenge Super Cup. We hope the GosuCup will be the second first-place finish for our boys, as they continue to pursue their dream, and our dream, of them becoming Europe's undisputed best team.

M5.Garaj
Garaj began the tournament as three-fifths of 2010's most beloved and accomplished European team, DTS Chatrix. DTS's now legendary accomplishments in Europe and abroad secured their berth to the groupstages of the ROCCAT GosuCup; but unfortunately for the East European legends, as the tournament took off initially, two of the team's most iconic players broke from the organization to form the elite Ukrainian team Na`Vi. With the departure of Dendi and Artstyle, the conventional wisdom became that the Russian half of DTS would flounder without the respective brilliance and prowess of the aforementioned; that the Urkainian half would go on to achieve greatness where the Russians would wither. And indeed it took the length of the tournament for DTS to become confident with its new members (ARS-ART from Virtus Pro and The Retry, and GodKillThemAll from the Russian pro scene), having only recently allayed the concerns of their long-time fans. The culmination of their hard work and perseverance came on the heels of their loss of sponsorship by DTS Chatrix, when they traveled to OSPL in Kazakhstan as Garaj, under the sponsorship of Moscow 5, and handily defeated their former teammates in a riveting semi-final series. The Russians flew home to once again dissect the play of their Ukrainian rivals, as they convincingly defeated Na`Vi in the GosuCup semi-finals to once again prove wrong the predictions of the DotA community at large. Whether Light, NS, and Dread can reach the pinnacle of European and world DotA once again, and with their new teammates AA and God, we will catch a glimpse of the answer tonight at 18:00CET.

The winner of this match will take first place and receive €1000 in winnings and five ROCCAT Kones, while the loser will take home €500 and five ROCCAT Apuris. The observer team will consist of a WTV streamer as well as the one and only TobiWanKenobi, who is set to provide a video stream and audio commentary on the front page. Don't miss it!
