In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year, Rainforest Cyber Cafe hosted a DotA tournament for local gamers that featured one of the best team in Brunei.
Over a period of 2 days, 10 teams battle their heart out in a double knock-out round which ended with Redspade.RsF emerging into the Final from the Loser's Bracket. Team Esper, the only team that managed to beat Redspade.RsF and send them into the loser's bracket went on to win the Winner's Bracket and set up another showdown against the best team in the country.

Redspade.Aces which is the junior team of Redspade Gaming managed to came in 3rd place after losing out to their senior team in the Loser's Bracket Final. SWY came in 4th when they conceded defeat to Redspade.Aces and TrueSex came in 5th.
Kenny ''kkr'' Yong, an experienced player in the region and also the co-captain of Redspade.RsF gave a few comments to the below questions.
Why is Redspade.RsF so-called the 'best' team in Brunei by local gamers?
-'' We proved that we are the best by winning the RFCC DotA Tournament just recently by beating the teams that stand in our way. We have a talented and dedicated players as well and this is where all good things arises. We just had to keep training day and night if we have to in order to have a higher standard of gameplay. We ever hard several matches with AEON.MuFc & Nirvana.my and even though we lost, it was a pretty close fight and we know we can do better if we spend more time practicing our teamwork and individual skills.
In the future, we hope we can represent Brunei as well as Redspade Gaming to take part in overseas tournament such as SMM.''
Why are they different than the other teams in Brunei?
-'' First, we are a sponsored team so we will have to train according to a fixed schedule whether we like it or not. Secondly, this opportunity doesn't come to our front door everyday so we have to take this opportunity and make full use of it. We study professional replays as well so we are aware of what drafts are widely use and what are not.''
Have Redspade.RsF taken part in International tournaments before?
-'' Since we are still a new team under the Redspade Gaming's name, we have not participate in any international tournaments yet but we hope that we will be able to participate in the near future.''

-"It was a well deserved victory for us as we had train for months just for any upcoming tournament and now it has come. We have learnt our mistake from the first game we played against Esper and we made sure we didn't do it again in the Final match-up. Overall, I'm very pleased with the team and this proves that hardwork is needed in order to gain success. It's our first step towards a brighter future and i hope to see more tournaments in Brunei. "

It was an intense atmosphere right from the very first day as the first match was between the top top teams Esper and Redspade.RsF, the champion and 1st runner up of the last edition of RFCC DotA Tournament last year. Esper snatched first blood showing excellent communication and teamwork which drew fans on their feet the whole game. The game ended with rounds of applause for both teams as they show them how a decent team should be playing. The other games went on right after that without any delay and finished around 9PM.
2nd day of the tournament started of quiet as the first game was early afternoon between Nevada and SWY in the Loser's Bracket. SWY went on to win their remaining games against Nevada and TrueSex and their hopes of going into the final was ended by Redspade.Aces in the Loser's Bracket Semi-final. As the event came closer to the Final, more people started to arrive and by the time the Final started the place was already packed out.
