SK-Gaming picked up two new players earlier this week to strengthen its StarCraft 2 team. Now, their star player MaDFroG parts ways with the organization.

SK-Gaming and their flagship player, Fredrik "MaDFroG" Johansson, have parted ways. Timothy "merusame" Ellersiek, SK-Gaming manager, mentions on the team website that there are circumstances which won't allow a fertile fundament for both parties.

- "We had a blast having the legendary MaDFroG back on board for the last six months, but as things have turned out, we won't be able to prolong Fredrik’s contract for this New Year," says Ellersiek.

The WarCraft 3 legend announced his comeback to RTS gaming last year, and was featured at the European BlizzCon WarCraft Regionals against Dario "TheLittleOne" Wünsch. The Swedish Zerg player lost both showmatches (1-2, 2-3) but showcased a very aggressive and smart play.

While the fans never saw Johansson win any title in 2010, he took second place at the third season's EPS Nordic final. Add to that a 5-8th place at Intel Extreme Masters Gamescom and a 9-16th place at Dreamack Winter.

readmore.de reports of Min Sik "reis" Ko, another SK-Gaming manager, complaining over the utopic salary expectations of some StarCraft 2 players, but also announced that there will be new additions in 2011.

SK-Gaming have seemingly changed plans since closing their WarCraft 3 squad, signing up-and-coming players instead of already shining stars.
