The tournament administration just published an epic trailer for this years biggest event. We got the chance to talk to the producer about his most recent project.
You're known online as 'TheBloodyMassacre' for your awesome dota video but who exactly is the man behind the massacre?
-"My real name is Calvin Callangan. Friends call me 'calv' some call me 'vin' others call me 'bloody' (*laugh*).."
How does it feel for being approached to work on this video for SMM?
-"Well we all know that SMM has been one of the biggest LAN events ever established. So, when some guys from the SMM administration asked me to make a video for them, I ofcourse agreed without any hesitation! It felt the exact same way when IceFrog asked me to make the 6.68 teaser video..so yeah..big thanks to you guys!
What inspiration do you have regarding this video?
-"Basically the scenes from the dvd sent to me by the SMM admins were very nicely taken and I couldn't just stand to waste the best parts of the dvd. So yeah, the video is a mixture of live scenes and ingame scenes as well and it is quite fast paced.
So, is the 'massacre' conjuring up newer videoes in the future? If so what can we expect?
-"Well I have had lots of plans regarding that but for now I'll keep it on a low profile. School takes the best of me and my time. But who knows? SMM Highlights video? We'll see. Rest assured you won't be seeing the end of my dota video making career (if thats what you call it).
