ASUS Autumn 2010

One of the most renowned offline tournament series in eastern Europe enters its third chapter today; its ASUS-time again! This years Autumn event features 18 teams, including WDC's second runner up and huge favourite DTS and the recently formed Natus Vincere.

The entering phase of the event marks a groupstage from which the best two teams advance. Those will be seeded into a single elimination playoff tree, with best of one matchups. Even though the best Russian team TR appears to be missing on the list, the roster of max1 in Group D shows up familiar: Will Pgg, Nexius, Amsi, God and Jerry secure a Russian Champion after two times DTS in the previous events this year? It will surely be a lot harder this time, given that their drafter and allround-player ArtStyle- is being replaced by Smile and cannot play.

UPDATE: 29.11, 00:38 - DTS defeats max1 in the Grand Final!

And once again the Ukrainians showed their strength by taking down a strong contender. Max1 delivered impressively in Game #1 of the series, but was taken down due to slightly inferior team play in the end. Their spirit seemed to be broken in the second meet, as a rather nuke-heavy DTS-draft outmanoeuvered them in less than 30 minutes. In the small final Na'Vi managed to beat Gz, which secured them a respectable third place in their debut on the international tourney.
For the prize does this mean:

1. Place - 50 000 Rubel | Ukraine DTS
2. Place - 30 000 Rubel | Ukraine max1
3. Place - 20 000 Rubel | Ukraine Na`vi
