SGNDT'10 schedule and format

With just a week left to SMM's Grand National DotA Final, the organizers have kindly release the schedule as well as the tournament format.

The tournament format will be similar to the 2009 edition with a knockout stage, group stage and playoff stage. The knockout stage will be reserved for the second to fourth placing at each of SMM's state qualifiers. The winners of the knockout stage will move on to join the rest of teams in a group stage.

In the Group stages, all international teams as well as the first placing at each qualifier will be awaiting their challenger from the knockout stage. There will eight groups of five with the top two of each group heading into the playoff stage.

Playoffs will be a double elimination format, all games will be Best of One up to the Grand Finals where it will be a Best of Three with the winner from winner's bracket having the one game advantage.

Rules for the whole tournament will be standard tournament rules using the latest map, 6.69c.
