MCiTY^TonTon talks ADC and PriDe

With ADC heading into its fourth playday. GosuGamers catches up with TonTon from MCiTY for an interview regarding the tournament as well as their preparations for MYM PriDe.

First things first. Can you give a short introduction?
-"My name is Tony Chung and I've been playing with the guys from MCiTY for a few years. I currently work full time in IT and going back to uni next year!"

So MCiTY is currently playing ADC, how do you rate your results so far?
-"I think we can do a bit better, but it is hard for us to find the time to train because we are all very busy ! However now that we have a stable 5 again, we will try to practice more and get better results in ADC.. hopefully more wins and fewer draws."

Speaking of your stable five. Would you mind telling us who is playing for MCiTY currently? As well as what roles they play.
-"As many people might of realized already, we have been playing with aNh and Dabeliuteef for MYM.PriDe but have been using subs for ADC. Basically Shatan and Dabe plays the farming roles or semi farming whilst aNh and I play the support or ganking roles. Last but not least we have our bitch Escobar who plays support. He's the only one that is not in Melbourne with us - stupid kiwi."

How about players like Tyranee and Recliner? We've seen them playing for MCiTY in ADC for a few games.
-"We consider them part of the team and help sub when we don't have players - such as for ADC. But for other competitions the ideal team would be the 5 stated above."

So what roles would Tyranee and Recliner play if they are needed?
-"If you ask people in Australia, Tyranee can only play farming roles but he does a good job at it. Recliner fills in for aNh's role, playing the ganking roles pretty much."

They(RUBIK) will most likely will make the playoffs!
So in this year's ADC, we see a new Australian Powerhouse sprouting out. How do you rate your countrymen, Rubik?
-"They've been around for ages as well and have good players in the team and have been playing together for quite some time. I think they will do quite well in ADC judging from their performance so far. They will most likely will make the playoffs! So watch out for them!"

Do u think part of Rubik's success is due to the addition of Dableeuteef? Since he played for Inc'Xlo from Malaysia before heading to Melbourne for further studies.
-"Most definitely. He is a very good player and with a lot of experience, therefore I think its a very good addition to our team. You can find him in Australian In-House leagues most of the time because he loves his stats sooooo much. *laughs*"

So MCiTY is meeting up with LGD in MYM PriDe, how are the preparations against them going so far? And how do you think the team will fare against them?
-"We are looking forward to playing them and obviously want to come out as the winners. We'll most likely try to play more games in preparation for this as well. As for the results, I'd say its 50-50 depending on both teams play. The last time we met was in ADC and the score was 1-1. But they are a strong team and playing on Asian host they will be able to perform much better."

I would probably say DTS because Lost has a new lineup and something unpredictable might happen.
So if the team manages to get the win against LGD.sGty. Who would you like to face more? DTS or LOST.eu?
-"I'm not so sure on this as I have stopped playing DotA for a while and not sure of whats happening in the Euro scene. I assume both teams are playing well, else they wouldn't have made it so far. However I would probably say DTS because Lost has a new lineup and something unpredictable might happen.

So with MCiTY dropping out of ESWC in July due to sponsorship issues. Has the team had any luck so far with additional sponsors?
-"Yeah, the reason we dropped out was partly cause of sponsorship issues and also some people were busy. We currently do not have a sponsor that is able to send us overseas for competitions, however we are trying to find one. So to any sponsors or people who know of sponsors interested in sponsoring a team, please contact us. Cheers."

So will we be seeing MCiTY at SMM this year? Or WDC for that matter
-"We really want to attend SMM because it is such a great competition to attend and they really support DotA. As for going there it is still unclear due to the costs associated with it. Therefore we are actively searching for a sponsor to send us there to compete with our new and improved lineup. Also, I'd like to add that finding a sponsor in Australia isn't the easiest thing to do because the e-sports community here is still growing. We will accept partnership with international sponsors as well!"

Australia doesn't have the population or large enough DotA community to support a national tournament.
So besides Pride, ADC what other competition is MCiTY participating in?
-"Nothing else really. Australia doesn't have the population or large enough DotA community to support a national tournament."

I guess that's all for now. Any final shoutouts?
-"Shoutout to Suppy - doing a great job organising games and finding sponsors for us. The team - it's good playing with them. Also to tsangu (future best SC2 player? lol)."

Thanks for your time. All the best in future games.
-"Your welcome. And thanks for the wishes."
