Glory and €1,500 are at stake. Eight players gather together to fight for the grand prize. GosuGamers editor Karsten "pYRo" Haendly takes a look at the matchups and predicts the outcome for tonight's quarter finals.
ajtls vs. iNSoLeNCE - StarCraft against WarCraft
Nick "ajtls" De Cesare, known in the StarCraft scene as LastShadow, comes from the original StarCraft, while his opponent Alexander "iNSoLeNCE" Hein is a former WarCraft 3 player. It will be interesting to see those two totally different worlds clash. A Terran versus Protoss on a high level where the victor moves on to the semifinals.

Ajtls qualified for the quarter final through the first qualification cup, winning over Hayder "HayprO" Hussein in the finals. On his way to the finals he beat MorroW - not only a top ranked Terran player but also friend of ajtls. Taking into account of his performance at the MLG Raleigh last weekend, I surely see him ahead to take this series.
Why? The reason why I do not give the German Protoss iNSoLeNCE, fourth qualifier runner-up, the advantage over LastShadow is because I have not seen him in top rounds of recent tournaments. Perhaps he will surprise me tonight and take down the whole series. Ajtls will win with a 3-1 against iNSoLeNCE tonight.
Adelscott vs. HayprO - Europe's inner fight
The Frenchman Adel "adelscott" Scott is up against the Swedish Zerg player HayprO. The very well-known Swede competed on a very high level in the StarCraft scene, taking part in a lot of tournaments, DreamHack to mention one.
Adelscott, a totally new face to me, defeated TTOne on his way to the last qualifier's finals, where he then dealt with iNSoLeNCE. HayprO, second-place finisher in the first qualification by losing the ajtls, won against the Global StarCraft 2 League aspirant TorcH on his way to the quarter finals. I see HayprO coming out victorious, just because I do not know his opponent. The game could go either way, though.

HuK vs. SeleCT - USA are up against Canada
MLG Raleigh's champion Chris "HuK" Loranger will lock horns with the Korean originated USA player Kyung Hyun "SeleCT" Ryoo, yet another Protoss versus Terran tonight.
HuK had already had his warm-up yesterday evening, facing IEM Cologne winner Stefan "MorroW" Andersson in a showmatch. Although losing to MorroW it is undebatable that HuK is one of North Amercia's top players, proving it with a top rank on the US server.
SeleCT is the kind of player I would describe as a real fighter. He lost in the first round of MLG Raleigh offline event but it did not let go and fought back and managed to reach the seventh round of loser bracket which placed him in the Top 8. As HuK proved numerous times that he is a winning player, I see him in the semi finals, taking down SeleCT with 3-0.

SjoW vs. Socke - another battle in Europe
In the last match up we will have Giacomo "Socke" Hus paired up with Jeffrey "SjoW" Brusi in the last leg of the quarter final, the third Terran versus Protoss this evening. I would not be surprised to see an epic series here.
Socke is currently in a top shape and definitely one of the hottest players right now. SjoW has also shown decent results lately, which opts for a close game. Not only could he finish his qualifier on top by defeating SeleCT in the finals, he reached Top 6 at MLG Raleigh.
This is the toughest match up to predict. I am sure, we will see a very close best of five series. As a German, I see Socke coming out as the winner. 3-2 to Socke!
