We all had hoped for the day when Broodwar would grace MLG, but it took it's late predecessor to finally give it the light of day in North America. Friday night, we show North America that StarCraft 2 stands above the rest

It's hard to believe only a month ago it was announced that StarCraft 2 would be added to the MLG Pro Circuit, and with the players showing up there will be no lack skill and creativity. With $7000 in cash prizes, North America will get it's first taste of a major tournament.

All the action gets underway tonight at 5:00pm EST with the Pre-show with Day9, JP and HD/Husky, from there we get straight into the games. For 6 straight hours you'll be able to catch the first three rounds of the Winners and Losers brackets. With a wrap up show following the final game of the night.

The action continues nice and early on Saturday as the remaining few will all battle towards a final later in the day. 10:00am EST is a good time to set your alarm to be near your computer, as the next 9 hours are all StarCraft 2 from Losers Bracket Round 4 till the eventual Finals.

One of the best features about all of this, besides being the first MLG Pro Series event that StarCraft 2 is apart of. You can watch all of it free through the MLG website. If you were looking for a reason to start putting a few more games in during the day, having an MLG event coming near you may just be enough.
