When GosuGamers greet the Italian we find out he is already stationed in Germany. He is located in MeetYourMakers' latest investment - the "progaming house" where he is practicing together with team mate Johan "Naniwa" Luchessi.
The opportunity was given to him when MeetYourMakers came with a proposition to have him play in ESL Pro Series Germany.
- "Right now I'm living with Naniwa inside a MYM apartment practicing a lot and trying to find new successful strategies," says ClouD to GosuGamers. "My goal in Germany is to become the EPS winner and to be successful in most international tournaments."
- "The apartment is very big and and seems an ideal place to practice. MYM has made everything so we would be in a comfortable place and all the people of the staff have been very nice and positive to us," says ClouD. And even though he had just been there for one day when we talk to him, he says he is enjoying it so far and is liking Germany.
This weekend, he will go up against Dario "TheLittleOne" Wünsch, Fredrik "MaDFroG" Johansson and Oleksii "White-Ra" Krupnyk in the starting group stage of Intel Extreme Masters.
The latter mentioned will most likely be the hardest nut to crack, according to ClouD.
- "I have been preparing some strategies to fight White-Ra since I think he is the most dangerous opponent in my group, says ClouD. "What's fun is that I can't find a good zerg to practice with so I don't know how it will go against MaDFroG, but I am very positive about it."
The Italian Terran's hopes are ending top 3, but he has prepared for making it out of the group. Should he pass the group he will simply play accordingly to his usual gamestyle and plans. The overall toughest opponent is IdrA, says ClouD.
- "I think IdrA is the favorite. White-Ra has been very strong lately, but I like to think that if I am in a good day I have good chances against everyone except IdrA and DIMAGA, so I will be playing with the intention to win it as well."
Regarding the recent imbalance discussions about Terran versus Zerg, ClouD is having trouble (ab)using it.
- "Terran versus Zerg has always been my weakest matchup because I always tried to play it a lot like StarCraft 1 Terran versus Zerg. Zergs say Terran has a lot of cheeses and one base strong strategies but I don't use them so for me it's very difficult, especially against Zergs who go ling baneling muta infestor combo."
- "The replays I've seen of Check seems to demonstrate Zerg can deal with Terran well in mid and late game, there are probably some early game issues and I really hope they fix them as well."
