ESL organisation has announced a new Major Series season with a major shake-up in the disciplines covered, confirming WarCraft 3 and crossing out DotA from the list.

As the German organisation announced 2 weeks ago, WarCraft 3 has been added to the RTS titles within the 1on1 disciplines in Europe's best online league, the Major Series, brandishing a respectable 500€ prize at stake.

On the other hand, Avalon Heroes seems to have supplanted Defense of the Ancients and gets a whopping 5,000€ prize pool. ESL announced that the newly-introduced game is included as a so-called 'publisher game', which means that the developers behind the game are backing it with prize money.

The whole ESL Major Series event puts forward an attractive money-box of 16,500€ for all the games supported, though it accounts for 1,500€ less than the running season's pot.
