EVOS and Dewa United Esports eliminated from MPL Indonesia Season 15

EVOS and Dewa United Esports were officially eliminated from MPL Indonesia Season 15 after failing to secure enough points in Week 8. 

EVOS and Dewa United Esports have been eliminated from the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 15. They failed to secure enough points to save themselves and secure a Playoff spot. EVOS lost their only match of the week against ONIC on the third day of the week, while Dewa United couldn't secure the necessary two victories, albeit winning a match against the in-form RRQ Hoshi.

EVOS and Dewa United Eports' elimination meant that all three elimination slots had been filled, with Natus Vincere (NAVI) MLBB being the first team to get knocked out. NAVI, currently ninth on the leaderboard, haven't secured any series wins from the 14 matches they played in the league so far. While they are no longer in contention for a Playoff spot, they still have a chance to secure a win in the final week of MPL Indonesia Season 15.

Team Liquid ID barely hold on for a Playoff spot

Team Liquid ID barely held onto their Playoff spot in sixth place. They lost all their games in Week 8 and were threatened with elimination if EVOS won their match against ONIC. While they already have eight victories from the previous seven weeks, their seven losses almost equaled their record in their first season after rebranding.

While they didn't have a bad track record, Team Liquid ID's inconsistencies were the bane of their performance. From looking like the runner-up of the M World Series to a team that looked like they won't even be in contention for the Playoffs, they have seen their fair share of questionable performances and outstanding brilliance. While they won't secure a place in the upper bracket, they still have one chance to improve their standings in the league with their match on the last day against RRQ Hoshi.

MPL Indonesia Season 15 will continue with the final week of its Regular Season on 23 May. With all elimination spots already filled, the bottom three teams will have no pressure to perform their best. Team Liquid ID will have one shot to improve their position in the leaderboard against RRQ Hoshi, while both ONIC and Alter Ego Esports have two more matches for the week.
