We were getting extremely close to find the champion of M3, but first we would have to go through another elimination day.
Today, day 7 of playoffs action at the M3 World Championships, would see two more eliminations from the prestigious event, with Blacklist International and RRQ Hoshi being the first two to take to the stage. With the crowd in their seats and the teams looking to avoid elimination, this would be an intense series between two teams who are at the absolute peak of MLBB performance.
Game one was an immensely intense brawl between the two teams, which ended up lasting 35-minutes, as both teams played some amazing MLBB. While Blacklist looked to be in complete control, the RRQ lineup were able to make some epic defensive plays, holding their base from total destruction over and over again. As we went over the half hour mark, it looked as though RRQ had found the opening that they needed to turn everything around completely, but Blacklist held steady, defended their base, and took a crazy first win.
A very MPL ID draft came out from RRQ in the next game, with a Bruno for Skylar and a Lapu Lapu from R7, while the last pick Phoveus from Blacklist went to Edward. Once again, both teams were relentless in the early game, fighting back-and-forth constantly, as skirmishes broke out across the map. Once the dust settled, it was Blacklist again who were in the driver’s seat, as Edward’s Phoveus dunked on the RRQ lineup, as Blacklist went up 2-0.
Having lost to Onic PH 3-0 yesterday, RRQ were now facing another Philippines squad dominating them flawlessly, except this time elimination was on the line. Allowing Wise to pick up his famous Aldous, while letting OhMyV33nus get the comfort Mathilda, was going to always be tough – and it seemed so as soon as the game begun, as the PH squad pulled off into a sizeable lead. In only 11-minutes, Blacklist assaulted the RRQ base, claiming a quick and decisive victory.
For RRQ Hoshi, after seeming to be unstoppable, they were made to bleed by Todak once, which ultimately lead to a six-game loss streak, as the PH teams proved that they were not to be trifled with. Their elimination means that Indonesia no longer has any teams left at M3, with their last hope being extinguished. For Blacklist, the lower bracket run continues, as they await their next opponent – EVOS SG or Todak.
