Catch all the action from the first day of the Swiss Stage of Worlds 2023 this Thursday, October 19.
The League of Legends World Championship is taking a three-day break right now with the Play-In Stage now done and dusted. From here, they now move on to the Swiss Stage, a first for Riot Games and Worlds as the top 16 teams will battle it out on the same day. As LoL Park played host to the Play-In Stage, the Swiss Stage will be at the KBS Stadium.
It was an exhilirating weekend to end the Play-In Stage with two best-of-five series to determine who goes through to the Swiss Stage. At the end of it all, it was GAM Esports and Team BDS who overcame the odds to qualify for the next round. GAM had to send home their fellow compatriots, Team Whales while BDS completed the reverse-sweep over PSG Talon, who was seen as one of the favourites to make it.

With the draw for the Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage already concluded, we can look ahead to the eight match-ups that will take place from October 19 - 23 for the first three rounds. The fourth and fifth rounds will start from October 26 - 29. By the end of the Swiss Stage, we will find out the best eight teams in the world who will move on to the Knockout Stage.
