100 Thieves brought back Ssumday into the mix.
The veteran toplaner known as Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho is now part of the 100 Thieves League of Legends roster having officially re-signed with the LCS organisation. Having signed with Evil Geniuses for the off-season, he could only help bring EG to a top-four finish during the LCS Spring Split.
With both EG and 100 Thieves out of the picture for the Mid-Season Invitational, it made sense for many teams to start making moves in the transfer market. 100 Thieves announced the return of one of its most iconic toplaners via Twitter earlier.
He first joined 100 Thieves back in 2017 and spent five years with the org while also making a name for himself in the LCS. He helped bring 100 Thieves to Worlds on three separate occasions while also winning the LCS Summer Split in 2021.
The 26-year-old veteran has also made two LCS 1st All-Pro Teams during his time with 100 Thieves before making the move to EG. Unfortunately, his time with the boys in blue hasn't been fruitful. With Ssumday's return to 100 Thieves, it could signal another rebuild from the org.
100 Thieves finished third during the LCS Spring Split group stage despite having a star-studded roster with the likes of Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg and Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng. However, they could only finish in fifth/sixth place, far from where they would have wanted to be. And to make matters worse, Bjergsen has since retired from professional League of Legends.
Ssumday will be back in action with 100 Thieves in June when the LCS Summer Split starts.
