Evil Geniuses are the titans of tiebreakers.

It's starting to look like we'll be getting four LCS teams in the Worlds 2022 group stage after Evil Geniuses took one step closer. Their second tiebreaker match saw them go up against CBLOL champs, LOUD but it was anything but by the end of it.

With that win, EG now has one foot through the door to the group stage. The only team standing in their way is the winner between MAD Lions and Saigon Buffalo, which takes place tomorrow.

As for LOUD, they will go up against DetonatioN FocusMe tomorrow as well. The winner of that best-of-five series will go on to face Royal Never Give Up. Both EG and RNG already have one hand on the door to the group stage and they have the perfect opportunity to take it with a much-needed day off.

For the tiebreaker, LOUD didn't get a chance to find their voice with EG ensuring that they remained quiet for most of the match. The game took less than 30 minutes to end with EG taking a commanding lead in the kill score with 26-6 against LOUD. Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme was one of the main catalysts in EG's resurgent run through the tiebreakers as his Leona was vital in many of the teamfights.

But on which player stood out the most, it's a toss-up between Jung "Impact" Eon-Yeong on Mordekaiser as well as Joseph "Jojopyun" Pyun playing Kai'Sa. Impact was the only player in the entire match that had zero deaths. On top of that, Impact also added nine kills and 10 assists to his game. As for Jojopyun, he ended the game with one death to go with 11 kills and four assists; a standard night for the prodigal midlaner.

We're back in action tomorrow with the second round of the Play-In Stage. Starting us off will be MAD Lions going up against Saigon Buffalo in a best-of-five series. After that, it will be LOUD versus DetonatioN FocusMe. The winners of both series will go on to face Evil Geniuses and Royal Never Give Up respectively.
