As the European League Championship Series enters its 8th week, Giants Gaming decides to make several roster changes in hopes of saving their LCS spot for the following split.

It was clear to everyone that Giants Gaming has been struggling throughout this split. It took the team five weeks to earn their first victory and it was against ROCCAT, who are placed 9th in the standings.

In hopes of saving the team from being relegated, Giants have decided to make major changes within their roster. Newcomers Peter “Atom” Thomsen and Joachim “Betongjocke” Rasmussen were sadly let go before completing their first split with the team. Giants will also be saying goodbye to their original ADC Adrian “Adryh” Perez.

As they say goodbye to three players, they also welcome their replacements with open arms. Giants have acquired Team Dignitas’ former Top Laner Lennart “SmittyJ” Warkus and LongZhu IM’s former Jungler and ADC Tae-Wan “Wisdom” Kim and Seung Ik “S0NSTAR” Son.

The new roster will have an extra week to practice together as the EU LCS will be taking a short break due to IEM Katowice occurring this coming weekend. We’ll just have to wait and see whether or not Giants’ decision to make roster changes towards the end of the split was a smart move or not. Let us know what you think!
