WildTurtle to remain TSM's starting ADC

Team SoloMid’s incumbent AD carry Jason “WildTurtle” Tran will retain his starting position indefinitely, the team announced Thursday.

After a noticeable decline following the Mid-Season Invitational, Tran’s standing in the team was called into question, prompting the organization to tryout and eventually acquire Team Liquid’s Yuri “KEITHMCBRIEF” Jew. The latter turned heads during his big stage cameo during the spring split in relief of a then-struggling Chae “Piglet” Gwang-jin.

After splitting scrims for a month and Jew taking the reins week six for a mixed performance against Team Dragon Knights, Tran showed enough improvement to hang onto his starting spot.

Head coach Choi “Locodoco” Yoon-sub, through a video uploaded by the team, had this to say:

“Having Keith come in and play really showed Turtle his spot isn't granted and Turtle stepped up. At the start, he wasn't playing that well, he was slowly on a decline, but something clicked and Turtle started to play better.”

The release of the official statement was one expected for nearly a week with Jew sending out a few cryptic tweets between his microblogs about his college orientation. He also edited his profile to reflect his pro tem role as a substitute.

“Regarding my future, I think there's a low chance that I'll try to go pro because I'm already planning to enroll in university for the fall,” stated Jew. I think I could be really good if I tried, but it would take a long time and I'm not sure if it's worth it in the end”

With the WildTurtle versus KEITHMCRBIEF debate put to rest, the fifth place TSM (11-7) will take on the fourth place Gravity (12-7) on Aug. 9 to determine who advances to face off against the first place Team Liquid.
