Complexity flexes their comeback muscles in week two

NACL pulls off their first five game night as Curse and Complexity continue to dominate their groups.  This time, Complexity demonstrates how to execute a nearly impossible comeback.

The second day of Week Two of NACL opened an hour earlier to give viewers five matches instead of four.  The first game was the first rematch of the Elder Lizard Conference between Infinite Odds and Velocity eSports.  Velocity is still experimenting with their roster, post Vileroze, and they looked stronger with Slackoh mid, frommaplestreet back in bottom lane, and NK Inc wreaking havoc on a carry jungler as always, but they still were unable to take a game in the NACL.

The second game was a somewhat anticipated match between Curse Academy, which the casters dubbed "mini-Curse" and Curse Gaming.  Knowing their sister team well, Curse seemed to expect a poke composition, and they banned out Gragas' disengage and Vi for her synergy with Nidalee spears.  Without good disengage outside Nami ult—Tatsulow's Nami was often the first target—Curse Academy's poke composition repeatedly got engaged upon and melted by Voyboy's Kassadin, giving Curse Gaming their first win with their new top laner, Quas, and Cop back on AD Carry.

Game Three began with the unveiling of a dive composition.  Excellent ganks and hooks by Gleebgarbu on Thresh ended up feeding Flabbybearfish's Corki.  Corki put his gold to use when his damage and the dive combination of Best Lee Sin NA invitee, Innox, and Scubacris' Vi proved too much.  Napkins in Disguise continued their near domination over the Ancient Golem Conference, having only lost one game so far to the currently undefeated Complexity.

The top lane Lee Sin dive composition trend continued with Westrice in Game Four, though with slightly less success against Lizard Elder Conference leader, Team Coast.  With Elise, Ahri, and Fiddlesticks, Coast ran a single target CC chain and pick composition that would punish anyone from TBD who cared to initiate a dive.  The game didn't come to that, however, as NintendudeX and Shiphtur's aggressive roam and pick strategy gave Coast control early, leading to a twenty four minute victory with a 6/0/7 score on Shiphtur's Ahri.

The closest game of the night was at the end, between ggLA with their new top laner, Yakuzi, who was devastating on Vladimir in his debut, and the only undefeated team in the Ancient Golem Conference, Complexity, Spring LCS veterans.  The match also featured Karma, a champion rarely seen in the professional scene.  After an excellent countergank mid by KOR Kez, the game seemed to snowball in Gold Gaming Los Angeles' favor, as the Bischu and KOR Kez duo successfully applied pressure in every lane.  After Complexity lost all inhibitors, M eye A stole a baron with Fiddlesticks ult to stall out the game.  Unable to deal with the ramping of Megazero's late game Jax and Nocturne's continuously successful picks, ggLA eventually surrendered after an ace at fifty minutes.
