Though Europe initially put up a strong fight, they eventually succumbed to the power of the OGN team, losing 0-2.
Game 1 would be an excellent showcase from Diamondprox, proving just how powerful his unconventional Eve jungle is, transitioning from Spirit of the Elder Lizard into an AP build. Yellowpete also landed his favorite AD, but was going to show Diamondprox just how powerful Lee Sin still was. In the beginning of the game, The European All-Stars found it difficult to do well in lane against the OGN All-Stars.
Though every lane individually was lost by a moderate margin, Diamondprox would apply incredible amounts of pressure to various parts of the match with sOAZ donating the occasional bits of his attention to lend his Equalizer, giving Europe a quick early lead. In multiple occasions, we would see the raw strength of EU's teamfight capabilities.

As the game continued on, the experience and training pulled through by the OGN team just felt more fresh and up to par with the collaborative efforts of a real complete team and started finding ways to tear EU apart limb from limb despite the strong AoE composition. The Koreans fulfilled a composition that could deal with the strength of EU's engage with the disengage of their own, also providing poke with Caitlyn and Jayce. Eventually, EU just kept slipping and allowed OGN to pick up the win.
?
As we mentioned in our earlier feature, EU LCS would definitely not want to slip their performance or throw in game one due to the emotional component of the Gambit Gaming squadron on the team. The slippery slope downward showed with great evidence as even though Diamondprox found initial success, the lane dominance was even more punishing for EU than the previous game and Alex's Tryndamere pick was not working out as he might have hoped.
Though EU held the momentum for a little awhile and had some excellent ganks, InSec spotted out Diamondprox's every move, countering it along with Shy with some awesome counter-engages which would put even the most formidable plans from EU down the drain.

Korea came out on top at every corner between dragons, towers, barons, and kills. One player who did noteably well was Yellowpete with Ezreal, who was able to kite away from many of the threats the Koreans brought to the table, but just didn't have enough damage output compared to the raw damage and tankiness OGN was able to muster off their heavy gold lead. Europe would eventually go to lose the game, playing North America in the Loser's Bracket tomorrow at 09:00 CET.
