Ever since S2 Games announced the eight teams that would be participating in the upcoming DreamHack Summer 2013 event, the "Swedish Pride" tournament received attention. Now the rules, dates and format for the tournament has been announced.
DreamHack Summer 2013 is only about three weeks away and still two spots are left open. One of them will be filled this weekend, when the elite of Sweden clashes for the opportunity to represent their nation in front of their home crowd. The registration went online yesterday in the evening and by the looks of it several high-profile teams have already taken the chance to sign-up for the last ticket to DreamHack.
Going into the tournament as the favorites are Lions eSports and Internet Gangsters, both undergoing some roster changes for this event. Due to the rules of this tournament iG had to alter their roster and find a fourth Swedish player to even be a part of this - they did so by picking up Skyzoe. The former Lions eSports player left the team after the most recent DreamHack Summer 2013 Qualifier last weekend, leaving them with a void to fill. The fourth place finish of the Hon Tour Season 1 responded to the gap in their roster by taking former QsQ player Jonassomfan into their lineup.
In addition to those two elite teams Locomotive with Jollem, AFK milking cows with PinkyKurdi, Pewe`, VnSensation and Team Excellent led by Pew have signed up. For all those teams it is the last straw to attend the prestigious LAN event as players, not just as visitors. Only one team will get the chance to attend the tournament, only one team will represent "Tre Kronor" on their home turf.
