Statement by Rhonn:

We are expecting a fantastic time in beautiful Sweden, hanging out with our fellow competitors and being able to play and watch some really great and awesome competitive HoN. As far as our own goals go, we are aiming for a Top 4 spot. We believe we can take on pretty much every team and have a fairly open and close match – with the exception of sG.

I am really eager to play against the completely new CIS team, who dethroned Cats, and get a rematch with ex-tdM. In terms of teams that will go very far, I believe that it will be sG. They are just above everyone in terms of their dedication and commitment they show towards HoN.

Statement by kiDDO`:

I am already looking forward to travel to Sweden once again. I was there last Summer for the DreamHack with MuFC, we didn't quite do all too well – this time I want to get a lot better results with my team! On that note, my personal goal is not only to reach the playoffs or the Top 4, but get on the podium, get to that Top 3 place and receive a cheque on the stage.

I am really looking forward to play against the NA/EU teams once again. Stay Green, ex-Trademark eSports and compLexity Gaming are all great opponents and I really want to try to take them down again.

Still think either the Russian team, the Chinese team or MiTH.s2y will take this event – how is that for a bold prediction? ;)

Endkindler joined the squad only a couple of days before the departure to Sweden. So far it has been impossible to get a statement from him, as he needed to take care of bookings and fix other issues. Therefore only his data and stats can be displayed here.

The signature heroes are projections based on his role and the drafting scheme that the team ran with Signify on the Suicide spot. EndKindler so far has only played the Carry role in Invasion eSports and Orange eSports, so those heroes are most likely not going to be the ones he is using during the tournament.?

Statement by Shuiyu:

Really looking forward to go to Sweden again – for the third consecutive time. It's always great to meet up with all the players in a fun, but competitive environment. In terms of the tournament I believe that we have the capability of reaching the playoffs for sure. Our goal would be Top 4, but even above that is possible.

I can't wait to play Stay Green again. I had to play them twice in the last big tournaments and twice they just barely edged me and my team out – it's time for another rematch. Also I want to go up against Chessie in a jungler vs. jungler battle haha!

In the end I believe that sG will take this tournament yet again, simply because they are the best team and showed it in Thailand and Las Vegas.

Statement by Air:

We are aiming for a Top 3 placing, maybe even pulling off a one of a couple of upsets in the process, that would be ideal.

Teams I am eager to compete with are definitely the two "NA" teams and the EU teams, as we did not have had any opportunity to play against them before - at least not all of them. We played sG and ex-tdM in Thailand, but the other two are completely new opponents for us.

I feel like almost every team has the capability of eventually winning this event, but most likely it will end up being sG. They are just too good recently.

Team Breakdown

For two straight DreamHack events the Malaysian HoN teams were qualified to represent the proud HoN region over in Jönköping, Sweden. Now, for the first time, the Singaporean powerhouse of iMpunity will make it's way to the Elmia Convention Center to compete for the esteemed DreamHack Championship.

iMpunity has a long and successful history of being one of the most accomplished SEA teams since the release of HoN. They have stood against western teams on several occasions, they have fought for HoN's honor against the Dota 2 team of Zenith and they have recently made an impact by being a dark horse for the Garena Star League 2013 competition. Before the event started a lot of buzz was surrounding the proud HoN franchise, as they had splendid results in scrims against the top teams of the world. Ultimately once the lights went on and it was time to compete in the GSL, they fought their way to the Winner Bracket of the playoffs.  Their only two losses occurred against Trademark eSports and Neolution eSports.MRR, which only made them finish 5th/6th in the tournament.

Now they have stacked their rosters with the proven DreamHack veterans Shuiyu and kiDDO` from the former Orange eSports squad and are looking even scarier heading to the Swedish LAN event. Eventhough they had to replace their Suicide laner Signify just a couple of days before the even, Endkindler known from Invasion eSports is a formidable replacement at that position.

Positive is also their aggressive style that is favorable after the new patch and their tendency to draft unconventional heroes on the carry position, they could catch some teams off guard right from the drafting phase seeing unorthodox heroes in all sorts of roles and lanes.

Their confidence is as high as their ambitions as they are looking to continue to trend that SEA teams have set over in Sweden. The Top 4 being the goal, maybe even more. Can the mix of Singapore and Malaysia shock the world and be the story of the event?

Special thanks to the squad of iMpunity for their cooperation and their quick response time with the statements and the additional information. Also special thanks to Mischa Tan for allowing the usage of her pictures and setting up the contact to iMpunity.
