Statement by Limestlye:

It would be my honor to play against top tier players and compete against them,  mean while I would love to spread HoN more and more into the Chinese community and enjoy this event. I think that we will do fine overall, but we definitely have to get more practice in as 5. Individually our skills are good enough for this event - I am aiming for Top 5.

I am looking forward in playing against compLexity Gaming and Stay Green in the tournament. Personally I think Stay Green will win this event, their team synergy is really good after all their time training and practise together.

Statement by `Aisaka:

I expect to gain a lot of experience and an awesome event from the world's largest Gaming League, also meeting some of the people I've always looking forward to meeting. In the eventI think we will do fine, definitly try our best and hopefully be in the top 4. All the teams invited to this event are top tier teams and we should give our all if we want to beat them. ?

I look forward to playing agianst Stay Green most simply because they are the hottest team in the HoN community right now, they have skillful players and well thought strategies, I really look forward to how things turn out against them.

In the end I think either Complexity or Stay Green. Especially with Trafamadore joining compLexity I think they have a really good chance.

Statement by ggslayer:

I expect to bring home some wins and hold our own against the American/EU powerhouses. But overall its going to be a new experience for me and being able to put faces to players I have played against for so long is going to be an awesome experience. We will do pretty well, I think, although we are a new team and haven't played together compared to other teams that have been playing together for a long time I think we will do fine. Our team has  great players with lots of potential, so as long as we are able to communicate and play our own game I think we can get far.

I am looking forward to playing against the SEA teams because there style is a little different and its pretty awesome to be able to play against people of different cultures.

I expect SG, coL, or ex-TDM to win because are all very experienced when it comes to DreamHack. They are all top tier teams and with their experience in the LAN settings they have an edge over many of the other teams. They are all probably immune to sweaty palm syndrome on the big stage. ?

Statement by YJK:

I want to play with and against different players from all over the world to improve myself and get better and more experienced. I will try my best to our team win as many games as possible - that is the only goal I really have for this DH.

I can't wait to square off against a team like Stay Green, but in the end KungFu Gaming is going to win. Haha. ;)

Statement by nQQdle:

I expect lots of gaming, drinking and meeting friends from HoN at DreamHack Summer. We'll do well if we can manage to set up scrims and practice hours before the event.

I am eager to play sG, because I think you can learn the most from them, even if we end up losing. And since I already said they are the best, I am also picking them to win the whole event, simply because their amount of dedication towards this game. ?

Team Breakdown

Trying to describe or break down KungFu Gaming is like feeling for fish in muddy water - it's almost impossible. The squad will be the absolute wildcard in the tournament and will most likely not receive biggest love from the ensembled audience in front of the streams and at the venue itself. The fact that the team got choosen by Garena to play in the tournament and did not went through a grueling qualifier has been discussed on the forums at lenght, but the emotions against the roster are still there.

Those boys still can't do anything against it or are at fault, but the whole wrath is unleashed on them. It's not only extremely unpleasant, but also applying a lot of pressure on the individual players. Without this scrutiny they would have been a marginalized teams with very little hope or expectations to stand a fighting chance against the top teams from NA/EU or their fellow brothers from the SEA region. Now everything they do will be under a microscope, every mistake might end up on the forums and the malice will fly straight in their faces.

Their mission is still to do the best possible job for the Chinese region as their representatives. All of them are from Chinese decent, all of them have a chinese passport and are proud of their heritage and the culture of their ancestry, so the pride to represent an entire region and country in the best possible light will be the driving force in their dedication and play. That and maybe the urge to perform well above expectations just to spite all the critics.

It will be tough and maybe not the most pleasant experience for the five assembled Chinese players, but they will still try to make the most of this opportunity with `Aisaka already having LAN experience from GSL, while nQQdle and ggslayer bring their expertise in competitive play with Absolute Legends to the table.

Is everybody going to be KungFu fighting or are the other warriors just a bit too strong and tough?

Special thanks to the squad of KFG for their cooperation and their quick response time with the statements, pictures and additional information. Special thanks also to Mischa Tan for setting up the contact.
