Chakki ties it for Managrind at Fight Night, 3-1's Artosis. Decklists inside

Managrind and DogeHouse enter an ace match tonight to decide who the winner of week one of Season 5 will be as DH captain Artosis couldn't quite top Chakki in a four game series.

Nyhx's crushing 3-0 win over Realz from Wednesday set up a good momentum for DogeHouse but the Fight Night veterans couldn't seal the victory last night as their own captain Artosis fell 1-3 to Managrind's Chakki. A regular weekly tournament participant and high finisher - and thus no stranger to competitive environment - Chakki channeled his aggressive playstyle into an easy sweep of his renowned countryman.

For the series opener, Chakki chose to go for the exact same Rogue deck that Realz used the night before but where the deck previously found crushing defeat, it now flourished. Two games down the line, Artosis' murlocs and control Warrior lay defeated and Chakki was a game away from a perfect run.

Down to his last deck, Artosis pulled out a somewhat forgotten build, an iteration of Koyuki's giants Paladin from the previous seasons. Artosis repelled Chakki's aggression by the skin of his teeth being one damage away from lethal towards the end before he could finally stabilize and get himself back into the game.

The reign of Uther was however short. Chakki's funnily named "Game Ogre" Druid came out with early punches, innervating a [card]Druid of the Claw[/card] on T3. Lacking the cards to deal with that big a threat that early, Artosis' life totals dropped and by the time he collected enough mana for [card]Equality[/card] plus [card]Consecration[/card] it was almost too late already.

There was nevertheless hope still for the DogeHouse member: he had big heals coming in [card]Guardian of Kings[/card] and [card]Lay on Hands[/card] and there was [card]Tirion Fordring[/card] also in hand. This is when Chakki ended Artosis' hopes ones and for all, pulling out a [card]Force of Nature[/card] and bringing the Paladin to exactly zero.

Managrind and DogeHouse will now go into an ace match at 21:30 tonight to decide who will rule over Week 1.
