Canadian Twisted claims NESL Preseason #11

The eleventh edition of the National ESL Preseason cups in Hearthstone have come to an end with the finals of Twisted and Clarity Gaming's very own Kitkatz. In the end, the Canadian defeats the American and punches his ticket for the King of the Hill prelims on Tuesday.

Two preseason cups are hosted weekly by the NESL, the Sunday one being the more prestigious one. Not only is the time slot perfect for almost everyone involved, but the victory in this cup also gives the champ eligibility to enter the playing game for the King of the Hill competition. Not only fame and glory awaits there, but an additional paycheck of at least $500 USD.

This week it is Twisted from Canada who will enter the fray in order to attempt to take down King Amaz sitting pretty on his throne for two editions now. Already Amaz is the longest reigning king of the newly launched series by the NESL, heading into the sixth title fight on Tuesday. On the way to the championship and the potential crown, Twisted had to overcome a plethora of players with Kisstafer, HeftyStyle, Strunk and Clarity Gaming's own Kitkatz in the Grand Finals.

The latter chose to stream his run through the tournament, having plenty of fun with fellow player Chakki in Skype, while busting out fun classes like Priest and going on a winning streak using his Beast Hunter deck. Up until the Grand Finals, said deck was undefeated. The enjoyable streaming session did not only make all of Kitkatz' fans incredibly happy and euphoric about the ways the wins came along, but it also brought additional attention to a somewhat overlooked tournament spectacle on Sunday evenings, with plenty of noticeable names like spOh, puffin, Singaporean stars Kero and bj0rN, Chakki, new Refuse Gaming member TheGwalls and European big names like Ignite, Spo, Kaldi, Ostkaka, Portix and Darkwonyx testing their skills.
