Tom 'durrrr' Dwan returns to Macau High Stakes Games

Tom "durrr" Dwan is back in Macau, returning to the scene of some of his biggest live cash game wins, purported to be in the millions. In late 2010, Dwan joined other prominent players including John Juanda, Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan and Sam Trickett in the multimillion dollar cash games against local players and some big Chinese businessmen. While results varied in the ultra high stakes games, the Chinese businessmen appreciated Dwan's gamble and welcomed him to return in the future.

Thursday evening on his Twitter feed, Dwan indicated he was back.
"Playing the HKD$100,000 (~13k USD) highroller at Poker King Club (Starworld, Macau). Tomorrow's their HKD$10,000 Main Event"
Although Dwan didn't win the Asian Poker King Tournament High Roller event that attracted 20 players including Patrik Antonius, his friend McLean Karr did. Arriving late to the event, Karr was staked to play by Dwan who will likely share in the $105,000 spoils.

Karr had been in China for the World Championships of swimming to support his good friend Michael Phelps. Phelps won four golds and seven medals overall and then returned the favor to come to Macau to support Karr in his tournament. Karr has a knack for these high roller events, as this was his third high roller win, pushing his lifetime earnings to over $2 million.

For Dwan, his focus will likely be on the high stakes cash games. Dwan has had it rough in 2011, having lost around $2.5 million on Full Tilt Poker prior to Black Friday. He also blanked his WSOP bracelet prop bets, although he came out in the black on the series from his high volume play.
