
Thursday was a long day as they played for more twelve hours and 16 levels to finish the day with only 84 of the 496 entrants.
The prize pool generated was $715,000 that will be paid out to the top 54 finishers with $153,599 guaranteed for first place.
Some of the high powered poker professionals who didn't make it through Day 1 included 2010 WSOP Player of the Year Frank Kassela, 2007 WSOP Main Event champion Jerry Yang, 2006 WSOP Main Event champion Jamie Gold, Allen Cunningham, James Van Alstyne, Dennis Phillips, Bryan Micon, Eric Froehlich and Dutch Boyd.
Day 2 begins Friday at non PST inside Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as the field will play until they break the money bubble.
