Ace Attorney is heading into VR for the first time with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR, a new made-for-VR release coming to Meta VR Glasses and Quest in 2027.
Capcom revealed the game alongside the new Meta VR Glasses, with a new trailer showing how Dual Destinies' investigations and courtroom battles are being reworked around VR controls.

How does Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR work?
Dual Destinies VR appears to retain the familiar Ace Attorney loop of investigating crime scenes, gathering evidence, and taking that evidence into court, but adapts those interactions specifically for VR.
During investigations, players will be able to examine crime scenes and build their case using hand tracking. The same controls carry over into the courtroom, where evidence can be presented directly, while players can physically point at or call out witnesses during testimony.
Voice controls take the courtroom roleplay a step further. Instead of simply selecting one of the series' most recognisable commands, players will be able to actually shout “Objection!!” when challenging a testimony.
Capcom showed these interactions in the game's reveal trailer during Meta's keynote, giving a first look at how Dual Destinies' investigation and trial sequences have been translated into VR.
When is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR coming out?
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR is set to launch in 2027 for Meta VR Glasses and Quest. The original Dual Destinies first launched for Nintendo 3DS in 2013 as the fifth main entry in the Ace Attorney series. It later returned in 2024 as part of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
Ace Attorney itself dates back to 2001, when the first game launched for Game Boy Advance in Japan before the series later found a much wider audience through its Nintendo DS releases. Dual Destinies VR will be the franchise's first full VR release, bringing its familiar mix of investigations, evidence gathering, and courtroom confrontations into a more hands-on format.
