How to join Petit Planet’s April 2026 closed beta
HoYoverse’s next closed beta for Petit Planet is called the “Stardrift Test” and aims to provide a closer look at its gameplay loop, with more content compared to previous betas. The developer notes that this new beta will include “new Neighbors, enhanced Starsea Voyage experiences, and additional activities at the Galactic Bazaar.”
If you’re interested in joining the game’s Stardrift Test, you can now sign up via Petit Planet’s official website here. Before being signed up for the Stardrift Test, you’ll have to fill out a roughly five-minute survey regarding your choice of gaming platforms and personal interests before giving HoYoverse an email address to contact. After that’s done, the developer will contact you if you’ve been accepted into the test.
What is new in Petit Planet’s Stardrift Test?
Petit Planet has held closed beta tests in the past, but this upcoming Stardrift Test adds more content for players to explore. For example, the beta will introduce all new interactive Neighbour NPCs, which can be invited to settle on the player’s planet. The Starsea Voyage and Galactic Bazaar have also been updated with more activities.
The Starsea Map will now allow players to hop on their vehicles and explore Islets with their Neighbours. The Galactic Bazaar, on the other hand, remains a multiplayer social hub where players can hang out together and try out activities like fortune-telling, dancing, and drinking coffee.
What is Petit Planet about?
Petit Planet is a cosmic take on the cosy life simulator: players take on the role of Planet Tenders, tasked with building up a planet of their very own in the vast Starsea. They can spend their time cooking, fishing, farming, or combing beaches–while making friends with their Neighbours.
Planet Tenders can also use furniture and various items to decorate their houses and shape the lands to their liking. They’ll also be able to explore the Starsea and make friends with other players at the Galactic Bazaar, adding a multiplayer component to the game.
Petit Planet will launch on PC and mobile devices, with support for more platforms currently in development. Anyone who pre-registers for the game now will be able to claim rewards at launch.
