Here is everything new in the sequel of Roblox's Grow A Garden.
Grow A Garden 2, a successor and a combat-injected version of its original game, is now live on the platform Roblox after weeks of teases and anticipation.
Just 20 minutes after release, Grow A Garden 2 boasted more than 400,000 concurrent players, while the original game retained a strong 140,000 CCU. That figure perhaps does not even account for the many players that was then stuck in limbo, unable to access the bottlenecked servers.
The original Grow A Garden launched in March 2025 and rapidly took over the platform, achieving more than 22 million concurrent players just five months later. Its success extended beyond the gaming industry, attracting film studio A Story Kitchen to work on a movie adaptation.
Now, a sequel has emerged fresh out of the oven – so what's in store? Below, we've rounded up everything you need to know about Grow A Garden 2, including how to play it on Roblox and all of the new features it introduces.
How do you access Grow A Garden 2?
To play Grow A Garden 2, search for the game on Roblox and look for the version created by "Strawberreh Squad" or head to this link.
Despite being the official successor, Grow A Garden 2 has launched under a different studio name rather than under The Garden Game banner.
Getting into the game is not quite so straightforward, however. Players may need to first complete a two-factor authentication process, so make sure you have access to your authenticator app and enter the verification code when prompted.
Roblox may also require you to complete an age verification check if you have not already verified your account on the platform. The process takes no longer than a minute, with Roblox scanning your face to estimate your age group before granting access to the game.
What's new in Grow A Garden 2?
Ahead of release, players were given a bite-sized gameplay reveal through the game's trailer.
Grow A Garden 2 retains many of the original's core gardening mechanics, including purchasing seeds from a rotating seed shop, planting crops, watching them grow over time–even while offline–and harvesting and selling them for profit.
The biggest addition, however, is combat. Players can form guilds in Grow A Garden 2 and organise night raids to steal crops from rival gardens, earning weekly rewards in the process. To defend against these attacks, players can place defensive crops around their gardens to ward off would-be thieves and protect their harvests.
We have spent some time exploring the game, so here are the standout changes seen so far:
Visual changes in Grow A Garden 2

Grow A Garden 2's visuals have been refined with smoother graphics, moving away from the LEGO-like blocky aesthetic of the original – whether that is an improvement or not ultimately comes down to personal preference. Many of the game's icons have also received visual overhauls, while crops and plants now feature less pronounced textures, giving the game a cleaner overall appearance.
A redesigned map layout

The various booths no longer stretch from one end of the map to the other. Instead, the Seeds, Sell, Gears, Guilds and Props booths have all been gathered into a central hub, making it much more convenient for gardeners to manage their day-to-day activities.
You can now bargain at the Sell Shop
At the Sell Shop, players can now choose to "Bargain", entering a back-and-forth negotiation with the seller to secure the best possible price for either individual crops or their entire inventory.
What are Guilds in Grow A Garden 2?
The Guild booth allows players to create new guilds, view leaderboards and claim rewards.
Joining an existing guild requires an invitation, and guilds can compete against one another in global competitions. Victorious guilds can climb the leaderboards and earn exclusive prizes.
What new gear is available in Grow A Garden 2?
The Gear Shop now sells a variety of mushrooms that can be consumed to grant temporary boosts to your character, including increased movement speed, supersized growth and shrinking effects.
These boosts can prove especially useful during missions involving crop theft from rival gardens.
How does stealing work in Grow A Garden 2?
When night falls, players can enter other players' gardens and attempt to steal their crops. However, you cannot harvest any crops if the garden's owner is currently inside their plot.
At the same time, you'll need to stay vigilant yourself. Leaving your own garden unattended gives other players the opportunity to sneak into your territory and make off with your prized fruits.
How do you get pets in Grow A Garden 2?

Oddly enough, there is no dedicated booth for purchasing eggs or pets.
Instead, pets spawn randomly across the map for a limited time. During these appearances, players can buy and claim them as their own before they disappear once again.
Is there an age limit in Grow A Garden 2?
Grow A Garden 2 is intended to be available to players of all ages. However, on its launch day, players are being asked to complete age verification checks as Roblox is working on verifying the game's rating.
According to a GAG admin, the game is expected to become openly accessible to all age groups tomorrow.
Are there any Grow A Garden 2 redeem codes?
Grow A Garden 2 now has a single redeem code at launch. Here is the code and its reward:
- TEAMGREENBEAN - x3 Green Bean seeds
