PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro price increases confirmed for Southeast Asia

PlayStation prices are going up in Southeast Asia. 

In a PlayStation Blog update posted today (27 April), Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed that several price hikes are coming to PlayStation consoles in Southeast Asia. The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles will all be affected by these price hikes. 

PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation Portal remote player price hikes in Southeast Asia

If you’re in Southeast Asia and thinking of grabbing a new PlayStation 5 console, the time to do so is now. Starting from 1 May, 2026, the entire PlayStation 5 generation of consoles–consisting of the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, and PlayStation 5 Pro–will become considerably more expensive. 

These price hikes will take effect in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam on 1 May. We’ll list the adjusted prices below:

Singapore

  • PS5 Digital Edition–S$764
  • PS5 Pro–S$1,167

Malaysia

  • PS5–RM2,799 
  • PS5 Digital Edition–RM2,499 
  • PS5 Pro–RM3,999

Thailand

  • PS5–THB20,990

  • PS5 Pro–THB30,990

Indonesia

  • PS5–IDR11,399,000

The PlayStation Portal remote player is also getting a price hike in select regions on 1 May. The remote player will be priced thusly:

  • Singapore–S$347
  • Malaysia–RM1,099
  • Thailand–THB 8,380
  • Indonesia–IDR 5,199,000

These price hikes follow Sony's recent announcement of global price hikes for the current generation of PlayStation hardware, affecting regions like the U.S. and Europe starting in April. You can read more about those price increases here.
