Sunbringer, arguably the most-anticipated character in Zenless Zone Zero’s history, is almost here.
HoYoverse has officially released a teaser for Zenless Zone Zero’s next playable Agent: Sunbringer, a Void Hunter whose arrival has long been foreshadowed in the game’s lore. Sunbringer is shaping up to be a three-in-one character, consisting of all three “Sunbringers” who have appeared in Season 3’s Roscaelifer arc thus far: Dracaene, Lindverne, and Eldreda.

Is Sunbringer coming to Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.4?
Sunbringer is one of the most pivotal characters in Zenless Zone Zero’s lore to date, being one of the original Void Hunters (a prestigious tier of Hollow combatants) to come into existence. After long being thought dead, players discovered that she had actually used her Enchainer abilities to create three different versions of herself: Eldreda, Lindverne, and Dracaene, each of whom now governs different areas of the floating city Roscaelfier.
Hence, there are technically four Sunbringers, with the original now lost to time. According to the character’s drip marketing, Sunbringer is set to be an S-Rank Armourer Agent with a unique Fire attribute, hailing from the all-new Roscaelifer faction. It appears that all three Sunbringers–Eldreda, Lindverne, and Dracaene–will be playable as a singular Agent, though how exactly that might work in gameplay hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Sunbringer’s Agent Record sheds more light on the character(s), with different Roscaelifer Agents commenting on the trio. Claret, for example, angrily demands they pay her back for some borrowed Porcelloy during a crisis, and asks they return safely. Remielle, another member of the original Void Hunters, tells them that while they’re not the original Sunbringer, they can still treat her like an old friend.
An ordinary citizen of Roscaelifer also states that “Even if the sky itself were to shatter before our eyes, Roscaelifer will never fall so long as the Sunbringers stand among us.”
Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.4 does not have a release date yet, but it will likely include crossover Agents from Honkai: Star Rail: Kafka and Robin.
