The second chapter of the Dead by Daylight x Stranger Things collaboration will arrive on 27 January.
Dead by Daylight has launched its Public Test Build (PTB) for a returning collaboration with the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. The 9.4.0 PTB will run from 6-13 January, while the full collaboration is set to launch on 27 January. This marks the 38th DLC chapter for Dead by Daylight and the second partnership with Stranger Things, following the original collaboration in September 2019.
Vecna, Eleven, and Dustin enter the Fog
In the first collaboration, the alien-like Demogorgon took on the role of Killer. As expected in this follow-up, Dead by Daylight is now introducing Vecna–also known as The First, 001, or Henry Creel–as the new Killer.

Dead by Daylight hinted at Vecna’s powers:
“Creel can bend the world around him, manifesting the physical presence of the Upside Down and using it offensively. He entraps lesser beings in masses of vines, drawing them deeper into his cursed web.
His control over the Upside Down grants him terrifying mobility, allowing him to emerge from the ground and strike all within his path. Those touched by the Upside Down become cursed, leaving them far more vulnerable to his power.”

Joining the Survivors are the show’s central character Eleven (Jane Hopper) and her friend Dustin Henderson. They reunite with Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington, who were introduced in the initial Stranger Things collab.
Several other fan-favorite characters are also included. Eddie Munson and Robin Buckley arrive as Legendary Skins, allowing players to use their appearances and unique voice lines while retaining the perks of the selected Killer or Survivor. They join the previously-released Legendary skin for Jonathan Byers.
Stranger Things recently concluded with its fifth and final season, closing out nearly a decade-long run with an emotional finale. However, the franchise is far from over. The Duffer Brothers have confirmed continued involvement in multiple spin-offs, including both animated and live-action projects–and more video game crossovers appear to remain very much plausible.
