Naoe steps into Mikasa’s boots as the danger of Titans enters the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
A rather unexpected but welcome collaboration is coming to Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft has announced that the latest Assassin’s Creed instalment will feature a crossover with the popular shonen anime Attack on Titan. The announcement was made on Tuesday (25 November, SGT) through a trailer posted on the official YouTube page:
Attack on Titan collab brings Mikasa outfit, a new mission, and more to Assassin’s Creed Shadows
In the trailer, Naoe is shown wearing hair and clothing inspired by one of Attack on Titan’s most beloved characters, Mikasa Ackerman. She moves like a seasoned assassin, balancing on thin ropes, swinging across structures, and engaging an unknown enemy with sharp, precise strikes. Over these sequences, a grim voiceover sets the crossover’s stakes: “We call them Titans, a monster that wields death on a scale you’ve never seen.”
The scene then shifts to reveal Eren’s Titan frozen in what appears to be Season 3’s infamous crystal cavern. The narrator, most likely Naoe styled as Mikasa, urges: “We must rescue Godwin before Albert and his fanatics force him to shift and destroy everything you’ve ever known.”
Naoe and Yasuke are later seen fighting multiple enemies as they attempt to reach Godwin. An unidentified voice follows with a final warning: “If Godwin succumbs, he’ll have a titan,” before ending on the chilling vow: “I shall ascend.”
How to access Assassin's Creed Shadows' new Attack on Titan quest
Alongside what’s shown in the trailer, the crossover will a full questline where a strange encounter pulls Naoe and Yasuke into a new investigation involving rumours of forbidden rituals and disturbing transformations. Guided by a mysterious woman named Ada, the duo venture into a remote Crystal Cave to rescue her friend from a cult conducting unusual experiments, a threat unlike anything they have faced in Shadows. Players who have unlocked Yasuke can access the mission for free by travelling to the north-east of Yamashiro, where the quest giver appears.
Upon completing the quest, players will earn exclusive rewards, including a new katana and several hidden chest items inside the cave. Additional Attack on Titan–themed packs will also be available in the store, letting players customise their assassins with a titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke, a Mikasa-inspired outfit for Naoe, themed weapons, and even a Survey Corps mount.
The crossover event will run from 25 November (SGT) to 22 December, 2025. It marks the next collaboration for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, after its Dead by Daylight crossover last October.
Accessing the Attack on Titan expansion simply requires logging in and downloading it, but it will only be available for a month. After 22 December, players will no longer be able to claim the crossover content in Shadows.
