Having trouble with those Assignments? An overhaul has arrived to fix that.
Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have launched several major changes to Battlefield 6’s Challenge and Assignment systems this week. Following player feedback over the game’s notoriously difficult in-game Challenges, Battlefield Studios has now made them far easier to complete thanks to lowered objective milestones all around.
Battlefield 6 makes Challenges and Assignments much easier
Battlefield 6’s in-game Challenge and Assignments have been notoriously hard to complete for players, even despite a few tweaks having been made to both systems since launch. This week, Battlefield Studios has further overhauled Class, Weapon, Gameplay, Mastery, and more Assignment types along with in-game Challenges, to make them much easier to complete.
In-game Assignments are important for players to complete, as they can allow access to additional Training Paths for Classes, more gadgetry, and even a few cosmetic items. However, these items are locked behind arduous challenges like getting smoke assists, reviving a certain number of players, or spotting enough players as a Recon.
In a Community Update post, Battlefield Studios confirmed “substantial adjustments” have been made to Challenges and Assignments “guided by gameplay data and your feedback.” Milestones for these tasks have been decreased all around, cutting down on the time required to complete them. These changes are described as the “first set” to arrive for the overhaul via a server-side update, with more to come in the future. Some assignments may now be completed retroactively, depending on the player’s progress.
Despite this only being the first set of changes, over 90 adjustments are included for the Assignment and Challenge overhaul. No patch is required to get access to these changes–simply boot up the game, and you’ll find that your Assignments and Challenges tabs now look markedly easier to complete.
Battlefield 6 is currently in the midst of its first season of content, with a new map set to arrive sometime this month.
