Umamusume: Pretty Derby is spilling its Guts on its next update.
Game developer Cygames has revealed a brand-new update coming to Umamusume: Pretty Derby next week, adding new race mechanics, a Guts buff, and more changes to the game. The balance update lands on 11 November, 2025, bringing with it a few additions that took a little longer to arrive in the game’s original Japanese version.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is getting a hefty balance update next week, changing the way players’ Career runs are played in small but impactful ways. While this is a smaller balance update releasing just one week after the game’s new scenario, which lands on 6 November, it does add new race systems like “Spot Struggle,” “Dueling,” plus a new skill in “Runaway,” among other changes to gameplay.
For starters, players will also now be able to gain increased monies and Support Points both during and at the end of a Career, giving them more resources for a run overall. Friend type Support card events also occur more often when they’re in the player’s deck, but they may also now occur rarely even if they aren’t in the deck. In addition, certain trainee events have received new choices, while new trainee events will also be made available.
Various skills will also receive positive updates, such as increased value, increased duration, and adjustments in activation and positioning during a race.
Careers have also received an overall adjustment to lessen the burden of bad conditions. For example, mood decreases will no longer happen while being afflicted with a bad condition from some events, and players now have more opportunities to cure specific bad conditions. Even Career events can now cure bad conditions.
Furthermore, the runners’ last spurt speed has now been increased based on their Guts parameter, making guts a more important stat during runs overall. Navigation skills also now improve passing ability during their duration. Many of the game’s skills have also been touched on in this update, as well as skill activation requirements. New trainee events are also included in the update.
